"Man the Fortress"

For the past few weeks, I’ve shared Biblical values written by Bob Hostetler to pray over your children. To be honest, if I didn’t fear you’d zone out after awhile due to the repetition, I’d just blast a mile high font across this page every week that said, “PRAY FOR YOUR CHILDREN EVERY DAY.”

I cannot tell you how deeply I feel called to press that message into every mother and grandmother I know. Find yourself a prayer chair, a prayer corner, a prayer stool, a prayer bench, someplace that when you land there every morning, noon or night, you immediately sink into a familiar heart posture for prayer (that’s why I like using the same physical spot every day – once it becomes habit, you will feel your body literally mold itself into your chair and your mind and heart will not take long to be in the spirit of prayer).

Continue to search the Word for new scriptures to pray over your dear children (while you’re at it, find some to pray over your husband) and write them down. And for your own motivation, may I suggest that you print this scripture out and tape it up somewhere this week where you can see it often and be reminded that we are at war. Athough the Victor has already been established, satan is all about taking prisoners and discouraging the soldiers and I tell you this, it isn’t gonna be my children (Chris, Rebekah, Brian, Jeff, Jen, Donna) or grandchildren (Dylan, Wyatt, Ryley), not as long as this momma and grandmomma has breath to pray. May it be so.

“The one who scatters has come up against you. Man the fortress, watch the road; strengthen your back, summon all your strength.” Nahum 2:1

Press in, press on, man the fortress.
On my knees with you,
Kay
